By decree of the emperor:
Any trader and miner operating in imperial space (that is to say the whole galaxy) is to pay 10,000 credits per cargo unit per day of operation to the imperial faction account.
An example: A YT-1300 with 300 cargo units must pay 3 Million credits per day it operates anywhere in imperial space.

- All violators of this regulation are to be first warned and, until compliant, shot down by any vessel of the imperial navy.
- Individuals working for the Sienar Fleet Systems (SFS), as well as non-affiliated (civilian) traders, are exempt from this regulation.
- Spice traders pay double. This overrides the non-affiliated traders clause.
